July 2001: LITTLE ONIONS IN SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE (CIPOLLINE IN AGRODOLCE)

Ingredients for 5 servings:
400 gr. of little baby onions
extravirgin olive oil
1 bay leaf
1 clove
1/2 glass of dry white wine
1/2 glass of white vinegar
salt
Preparation:
Clean the onions removing the external layer.
Fry them in a pan with all the ingredients except for the vinegar for 5 minutes over high heat.
Put them in the oven and allow them to become sweetly blonde, adding the vinegar when almost cooked and allowing it to evaporate.
